It’s no secret – wherever you look, there are beautiful women.  This is something lots of people have a hard time really understanding – these adorable women aren’t any different from the rest of us.  They need to eat, work, send and receive things . . . in fact, pretty much the same things the rest of the world does.

One fact of life is that big cities are home to more than their share of the world’s most beautiful women.  It’s not hard to figure out why – there’s more opportunity for an extremely beautiful woman in a big city.  For instance, modeling and acting careers are easier to pursue in big cities.  Likewise, since also attract the wealthy and successful, there’s more opportunity to meet such men in big cities.  Finally, cities are more active and exciting than most rural areas.

Try to think from the perspective of a beautiful woman, perhaps someone whose livelihood depends on her beauty.  Where might she go to maintain and enhance her beauty?  Women maintain their beauty and physical conditioning at the gym, and they purchase their clothing and accessories at trendy stores, either downtown or at a mall.  Try looking in those places if you want to find beautiful women.

You can meet a beautiful woman pretty easily at the gym.  Just hang out by a bench press on your own – ready to work out.  When a girl comes by, ask her if she’ll spot for you – tell her your workout buddy got called out of town.  She’s doing you a big favor, so be certain to thank her when you’re done, and of course introduce yourself.  Get her phone number, too, but only if it feels right.

You can meet a beautiful woman in a department store as well – just look around and when you see one you’d love to meet, tell her you’re looking for a birthday gift for your sister or cousin.  She’ll probably respond positively if you tell her she seems to have the same sense of understated elegance as your sister, and ask her to give you ideas about a gift like a sweater or similar item.  Talk with her while you’re shopping together, keeping the conversation light and non-threatening.  You can learn a great deal about her in just a few minutes if you pay attention to what she says.

Is there a Behavior Protocol for Meeting Beautiful Women?

Most men have a real problem when they’re around beautiful women – they seem to fall all over themselves.  It’s pretty embarrassing, really.  They start acting all macho and stupid.  It’s a phenomenon called “beauty vision.”  Remember – this is what most other guys out there do, so it’s imperative that you stand out by being different!

Most importantly, you must be oblivious to the fact that she’s gorgeous.

She’s well aware of her beauty, and has been for many years.  By ignoring her attractiveness, you’re letting her know very clearly that you’re different from most other guys.  She may appreciate that you’re clearly not just interested in her because of her looks, even if she feels a little uncomfortable with the idea that you’re not so easily won over.

Treat your time with her just as you would time with anyone else you’d meet in the course of a normal day.  Realistically speaking, she probably doesn’t often encounter men who don’t fall all over themselves when they encounter her, and so the time your spend together will be somewhat of a rarity to her.  At the same time, your immunity – your apparent immunity – to her beauty will set you apart from most other men, and she’ll consider you something of a mystery.  At the same time she’s feeling happy that she met a man who isn’t a strutting fool in her presence, she’ll be wondering about you: “Doesn’t he find me attractive?”  Think about her position – even though she enjoys the “real woman” treatment she gets from you, she’ll want to make sure she’s still got her power, and so you’ll become a challenge to her.

Now you have a couple more ideas about where to meet beautiful women and, probably more importantly, how to act around them.  But remember this above all else – if you cannot control yourself in her presence, if you’re so enthralled by her beauty that your behavior is no different from that of all the other guys, you won’t stand a chance with her.

Some routines have been beaten to death, like “the cube” and “the jealous girlfriend.”  We’re not going to waste time on these.

The Present Routine – This is a very creative routine that will help you to learn a great deal more about your “chosen” target.

It’s simple, really.  Just approach a group of girls, and tell them that urgent business called your buddy out of town unexpectedly.  He’s given you money – say $200, or whatever – to get his girlfriend a birthday present.  The problem is, you don’t know what to get her, and so you’re hoping they’ll give you some advice.

The beauty of this approach is that whatever the girls tell you is revealing about themselves.  The girl who suggests a day at a spa is a girl who herself loves to be pampered, for instance.  If a girl suggests expensive things, accessories like Prada and YSL, you can be pretty confident that she also likes those costly accessories.  This is highly useful information you can use later on in any number of ways.

Dating for Dummies – I’ve encountered a lot of different routines, and this is one of the funniest I’ve heard of.  It’s a great icebreaker and it helps women to feel really relaxed around you.

The first step is to go out and get a book on dating – one of the more insipid ones, with a title like “Dating for Dummies” or something really obvious like that.

Carry it with you whenever you think you might run into women to meet.  Sit down and open it up to the chapter about pickup lines you should never, ever use.  (Don’t worry, there’ll be a section like that.)

This is when you each find out about the other’s sense of humor.  Go up to a woman you’d like to get to know better and, holding the book in front of you so she can see the title, start reading some of the bad pickup lines out loud.  Don’t be bashful, go for the gusto!  The worse the line, the better it is for your purpose – look for “Do you come here often?” and “Hey there, baby, what’s your sign?”

This approach will get you some laughs, unless she’s got absolutely no sense of humor at all, and she’ll let down her guard.  You can even put on an innocent air and ask her if it “worked.”

These routines have been tried and refined by true pick up artists, and should help you get the ball rolling.  Your purpose in meeting here, though, is to establish a rapport that you can use to ask her out or call her.  If you want to establish rapport with her, share something personal – maybe a story from your childhood, or an incident from your job.  Women respond positively to men who open up to them personally, and you’ll be able to feel the connection building.

Canned PUA routines aren’t anything I want to share here, because they essentially require you to lie about yourself, about who you are, and that’s not my style.  Every day in your life you do things, and lots of times things happen that are interesting.  It’s how you respond to the everyday things in life that best illustrates what sort of person you are, and you can make fun stories of many of those incidents.

As a budding PUA, you should build your own routines based on your own life experiences.  There’s no shame in needing a little help.  Put the routines here to work – try them out yourself a few times and get a feel for them and for approaching women.  Working with these PUA routines will give you a better insight into making your own routines from your own life experiences.

Right off the bat, keep in mind that there really are two different kinds of pick up artists.  Memorizing different routines and stories to impress women, the first type works very hard for success.  These stories and routines are each intended to impress women and attract them to the PUA, and to ensure his success, he carefully crafts and polishes them.  If you’ve read The Game, you probably recognize Mystery as this kind of PUA.

Strauss calls the approach used by the second type of pick up artist the “natural game.”   The natural game involves the PUA relying not on memorized lines and routines, but on his own natural charm, wit and personality to achieve success with women.   This fellow will approach women confidently, and his conversation will be spontaneous, natural, hence the label.  A good example from The Game would be the PUA called “Juggler.”

There are advantages and disadvantages to each approach.  My preferred approach is “natural game,” but I’ve seen success achieved with both techniques. There’s a lot of work involved in memorizing all that material.  Besides, isn’t it a better feeling to know that you’ve attracted a woman on the bases is your own personality – who you really are – instead of because of some story you made up?

It doesn’t matter which approach you use, however, if you don’t concentrate on your inner game and who you really are.  The term “inner game” is used to describe the real you – who you are, your beliefs, and especially your own self-confidence.  Here’s what that means: if you feel unattractive and shy, the number of routines and stories you’ve made up and memorized is immaterial, because it’s unlikely you’re ever going to approach a woman you find really attractive.  Conversely, if you have a high degree of self-confidence, you’ll be able to approach pretty much any woman without fear of rejection.

Another point: take it easy.  Don’t expect to start at the top.  Concentrate on the basics – your self-confidence, your PUA inner game – and as these things improve, you’ll find yourself with more women than you ever dreamed would be possible in your life!  Now if something’s holding you back – if there’s some sort of obstacle in your path – concentrate on overcoming that thing first.  Shyness was my obstacle.   I prescribed myself a special challenge.  To overcome my shyness, I had to stop and talk with 100 strangers a week.  Overcoming the obstacles you encounter is a job only you can do – nobody’s going to do it for you.

Of all the possible pick up artist tips I could offer, though, one of the best is simple: consistency.  Once you’ve found a technique you’re comfortable with, don’t change.  You might be familiar with the type – the fellow who buys a book, skims it, and then tries one or two pieces of advice, before giving up and turning to another book.  After trying many approaches briefly, they’ll denounce them all as ineffective.  Honestly speaking, though, these guys could have saved themselves a lot of time and money if they’d simply chosen a single approach, learned it well, and stuck to it.

Thus, my last tip is to explore the different styles, find the one with which you’re most comfortable, and stick to it.

Some people think that approach anxiety can’t actually be overcome.  Some people think that approach anxiety is hardwired into our genetic makeup.  Others insist that approach anxiety actually can be overcome.

These approaches may help you to overcome approach anxiety:

3 Seconds to overcoming Approach Anxiety

It’s easy to put this approach to work.  It’s easy to understand: many men will spot a woman they’d like to meet, and then spend half the night wondering whether to approach her, and how.  But it’s obvious that the more time spent thinking about it, the less likely that any meeting will take place!  Don’t give the fear any time to build up.  Within 3 seconds of seeing a woman you want to meet, approach her.  To achieve success with the 3-second rule, you have to commit to using it all the time.  If you start making excuses or exceptions, though, you’ll wrap yourself up in them and never meet exciting women!  There’ll be times – like when you’re running to catch a plane – when you really can’t follow the 3-second rule, no matter how stunning and interesting she looks. But in most situations, as long as it’s alright to talk out loud, go for it!

Approach Anxiety can be Overcome with the Power of Money

This approach requires a wingman, but can be really successful in motivating you to get out there and meet exciting women.  Sometimes, just having a buddy there watching is sufficient motivation – I mean, who wants to shame himself in front of his friends by being afraid to get out there and meet the women you really want to meet?

But if you need greater motivation, try this: give your wingman $100 in cash  Then, whenever you approach and spend time talking with a woman, he gives you back $10 or $20 – it depends on what the two of you agree on beforehand.  If you don’t go out and meet women, then, you’re going to go home broke!

Of course, in the final analyses, these are just patches, temporary fixes for a problem.  Using these approaches doesn’t end approach anxiety, it just helps overcome it for the night.  Really overcoming approach anxiety and putting it behind you for once and for all requires dealing with its root cause.

I don’t agree with the people who claim that approach anxiety is something we’re born with.  I think it’s something we learn, something we pick up while we’re growing up.

When you analyze approach anxiety, you realize that what you’re really feeling when you’re hanging back from approaching a woman is shame.

It’s shame that you’re feeling when you’re experiencing approach anxiety. Perhaps there are elements of your own makeup, like your sexuality, that you’re not really comfortable with, or perhaps you don’t feel deserving of having such an exciting woman in your life.  Who knows?  Your situation is unlike anyone else’s, and I don’t want to paint people with a broad brush.

Believe you me, it can happen. Because it happened to me. What a crazy-good feeling to wake up and wonder why. Pass a mirror and think, “She likes ME!”

Step 1: Make a Move

Take action. Start talking. If you’re going to land one of those out-of-your-league girls.  She already knows she’s hot, chances are. And hot women don’t ask for dates, they get asked.

Yeah, sure you have to do all the  work. Fair? No! Fact of life? Yes!  If you want to date a beautiful girl, don’t expect her to ask you. You’ve got to make the first move.

Step 2: Make the Move – Ask Her Out

Alright! You’ve moved in and your talking. You’re one hoof ahead of the rest of the herd.  Don’t melt now. Keep things moving. Keep her talking. It’s getting easier. Make her laugh.

Hopefully you’ve thought of something interesting to do with her. So, go ahead and ask. Tell her about it. Tell her you’d like to share it with her. Ask her out.  Dinner at McDonalds won’t do the trick. You can do better. Maybe there’s a street fair somewhere. How about a weird museum and lunch at a strange little place?

Watch it on the venue though. You don’t want to be too busy, or not busy enough. You need opportunities to explore each other. To flirt. Movies aren’t a good idea – you sit around in the dark and don’t talk.

Step 3: It’s Up to You

For sure she knows you like her, but how much? You need to show her how much, or she’ll get bored and date someone else.  This is important because you don’t want to be a male girlfriend of hers who listens to her complain about her jerky boyfriends.

Take the lead. Be bold. Be confident. Women like that sort of masculinity.  Take a risk. Tell her exactly how you feel about her. Give her a kiss.  A good way to not mince words is to tell her you think she’s sexy.

Platonic? No way. Not if you tell her you think she’s sexy. She’ll know that you want more than brotherly love.

The girl may be out of your league, but you can probably attract her by following these guidelines.  Set aside fear. Fear is meaningless in this situation. Take action.  It may not be easy to muster the courage, but, you know, someone’s going to end up dating these hot girls and it might as well be you.

You really must steer clear of this for at the very least 2 good reasons.

The first reason why this is not really recommended is because you’re essentially approaching it from a viewpoint that you have to justify liking her.  This is merely another symptom of attempting to impress the woman and show her that you’re deserving of her.  She won’t think this is a turn on and this can damage your odds with her if she already does like you.  It is perfectly fine to like a girl without needing to have some kind of logical reasoning behind it.

And second, you actually are not even there with her in any way because you’re too busy being anxious and mulling over exactly what you are going to tell her.  You’re lost in your own brain, which really isn’t appealing to girls at all.  Do the contrary of this and actually be there entirely with her.

You are most likely thinking this is all hippy-dippy stuff, but you’d be shocked at how very real this is.  You can start doing this by focusing on your body.  Can you feel the way your feet are resting on the ground or how the clothing you’re wearing feels against your skin?  What about how your whole body begins to feel when you’re with the girl?  I hope you can begin to grasp why this is so critical when you are approaching girls?

I hope you’re beginning to understand.

Sure that’s great, but what are some specific things that can be done to show her you like her?  Here is how to let a girl know you like her properly.

An SOI is a phrase that’s short for Statement of Intent.  This term is employed by Pickup Artists (PUA’s).  The SOI was invented by Juggler (a PUA identify for a man named Wayne Elise).  A fairly easy SOI looks like this:

Her: My dress rehearsal is tomorrow night.  I am so looking forward to my dancing performance on Wednesday.

You:  I really think it’s sexy how devoted and passionate you are about dancing.

By telling her that she’s “sexy” you are giving her a very strong but sophisticated message to her that you don’t want to simply be friends with her.  It’s a very fine item, but this tells the girl that she can advance and begin hitting on you.  Basically say this casualy and don’t try to make it into some sort of significant thing.  The idea here is to be subtle.  Don’t worry, she won’t miss it.

There is yet another way to let a woman know that you like her, which is to just be upfront and blunt with her.

For instance, maybe you’re hanging out with her and one of those quiet moments falls over both of you.  You should use this as an opportunity to just say what you are both thinking.  “I really like you and all I want to do now is kiss you.”  Naturally you have to actually make a move and kiss the girl at this point.  This may seem a little bit daunting initially, but women think this is very romantic.

The critical difference between this and the uncomfortable, nervous approach above, is that, first of all, this isn’t some type of rehearsed trick that you just sort of fumble through.  And secondly, this is a very manly action to take.  You are really telling her that you want to kiss her, not “sort of kind of” asking her if she’d like to see a movie.  You are altogether comfortable with your desires.  If you do this kind of thing, it shows girls that you have a whole lot of initiative and that you can follow through on the things you want in life.

So, that is how to let a girl know you like her.  The crucial factor here is to make certain that it is really relaxed and never some sort of problem.  When you just act like it is the most common and natural thing there is, she will deal with it so and follow suit.

You may not be a Greek god, but handsome is as handsome does. You can get around that.

Lift your chin. Women go for personality over looks ninety-nine percent of the time.  As long as you’re clean and decently dressed, you definitely have a good shot at a good woman.

Don’t worry about something you can’t control, like genes. Get on top of those things you can control:

Self-confidence is like a magnet for women.

Women love self-confident men. A man who is sure of himself is sure of a woman.  It’s not hard to be self-confident, you may already have the attribute. Basically, being self-confidence is being in the habit of doing things that you or others are afraid to do. And knowing you’re right.

You don’t have to be a Rhett Butler by this evening. Start with small things and it’ll keep getting easier as you gain more of it.  Handling what life throws at you, and handling it well, will gradually build your self-confidence.

Life skills. Getting them will make girls like you.

“Girls want boyfriends with skills!” You’ve heard it before, you’ll hear it again.  (Drinking contests, lighting farts, or winning a hot-dog eating championship, all may require a sort of  skill, but not the kind that will win a lady’s heart.)  Developing positive skills to attract and surprise women can be a real deal maker.

Learn how to cook. Learn how to dance. Learn a romance language. Learn to play the guitar. Have an interesting hobby. I once set up a small aquarium in a girl’s apartment and she immediately fell in love with me.  There are so many regular guys out there. Make yourself singular among them. Honing life skills, doing them well, will make you an object of affection.

Flirting is fun and girls love it.

Flirting, and doing it well, is a great way to get girls to like you. Flirt as often as you can to keep yourself sharp.

Flirting is an art, it does take practice.

Flirting does have a couple of demands. It shouldn’t be too serious. The lady you’re flirting with should feel flattered.

Are you a caveman? You are if you holler at a girl and tell her she has a nice rear. Don’t ever do this.  Such action is not flirting, it fails twice:  1) you could have done it to any girl, she’s not going to take you seriously,  2) it in no way makes her feel good about herself, she feels like a “thing”; and guys who do this are no good at flirting at all, they’re jerks.

With these three hints to guide you, you’ll get girls to like you no matter where you may find yourself.  All these guidelines do is allow your personality to shine.  As long as you have self-confidence, know how to do a few neat things, know how to flirt; you’re going to do just fine with the girls.

Everybody needs a little help, following are some of the most egregious errors guys usually make and some solid hints on how to fix them:

The Fix: Weave stories around the facts of your life that let her see who you are.  Give something such as this a whirl: “When I go camping in the desert, I always awaken at midnight to watch the stars. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I see a meteor or two, and make a wish.”  Now, next to that inspired statement, how does, “I think camping is fun.” sound? Yup. Skimpy.

Mistake #2: Don’t Spoil the Profile with a Spoiled Picture.

Look at your picture long and hard, because she will, too.  Many guys use an old office organization chart picture. Eyes half-closed and tie askew. Please don’t. Even if your eyes are wide and your tie’s neat.

Body parts are for boring boys. Are you advertising beef or advertising a man of taste and distinction? Think twice about the muscle man shots.  I’m sure you’re really proud of your “guns.”  I know it’s not easy to get totally ripped, but you gotta understand that women are just going to see this as you only being interested in sex.

The Fix: Get some decent pictures of yourself.  Don’t rush off to the studio to get a portrait done; use the one of you smiling over a campfire as you fry up some fish. Or even reading a book, if you’re that sort of guy.

Mistake #3: Profile Name That Elicits Groans.

Remember, a name means a lot. What does “Desperate4Luv” or “ShyGuy85” mean? Pathetic, that’s what. And skip the boring, “Jim95” or “Handsome77”.

The Fix: Conjure up something memorable and fascinating, as you are, something like “GuitarsAndGears” if you’re into stock car racing and steel guitars.  An overtly sexual user name is, once again, a little pathetic. But a name that could be taken one of two ways might work.  Let her wonder about “AnimalLover”, especially if you’ve mentioned in your profile that you’re a veterinarian.

Following these words of advice will help you immensely when you sit down and start writing an online dating profile. And the women will take note.

You must feel prepared now, right?   There she is, across the room.    What are you going to do about it?

You need to have something to say.    There has to be a reason for you to approach her.    Maybe she is wearing something that stands out, or something she is doing that catches your attention?

If you can’t figure anything out, then you aren’t thinking hard enough.    If for some reason there is absolutely nothing that stands out about her, memorize some PUA openers and try them out.

Assuming you’ve got something to say to her and you’ve got yourself motivated, there really is no excuse not to make the approach.  Get to know her better by talking more and more and get her to reveal her personality.    After talking, get her number if she’s the kind of girl you’d like to get to know more.

That’s what you need to do to approach girls.   It isn’t that hard after you get a few approaches under your belt.    You might even discover that the whole process actually becomes fun and enjoyable.   Getting to know someone new is an exciting adventure!   That stranger could suddenly be your girlfriend down the road.
